CLUB COAST LINE ( work in progress)

Club Coast Line was a passion project from my love of vr night clubs, however i always had an issue with most clubs in vr, sure it looks nice, but in the end you cant have many people in the world without it lagging or people having issues. so i set out to make my own exprience based night club.

Within this project there was a few key details i wanted to keep in mind.

One: Player exprience, I wanted to be able to host full on events all while makeing sure that the club has its own charm and its own enviroment, i decided to take a look at other clubs and see what works and what i could do diffrent, after spending about a week or so looking arround and gathering details i found that alot of clubs where always in closed spaces, keeping people caged into one section at a time, personly i didnt like this as it takes away from the feeling of makeing able to feel at ease without needing to worry about someone else in the room. so i knew i needed to make the map open plan. Another thing i saw was that noone really seemed to have a club on the beach side. so i decided to make a beach side or CoastLine Club and this is where i got the name from.

Two: Optimisation. this is going to be a big issue if im goint to makeing the map fairly large and open plan. Not only will the stage need to be large so you casn see it from all parts of the map, but it will also need to be well, easy on the hardware as i wanted quests to be able to run this club as well.

Three: Quest Compatability

Honestly, i dont really like quests as well they are a pain to develop for as they are so locked down my vrc so we cant really use many tricks to make worlds run better for them unfortunatly. Over all i ended up modifying a lot of files just to things to run better on quest including redoing a fully custom coded script for the stage lighting.

The nightclub consists of 5 parts:

The starting area where people arent able to get into the club unless they have a good qulity avitar or an optimised avitar on, while also being a meeting and waiting area for people to chill at and relax while they wait for their friends to join.
