CLUB DUCK
Club Duck is a personal project of mine that i ended up having to stop development of due to lack of interest from the community. this project stemmed from having many people ask me about night club commissions but due to not having any experience within that area i had to turn them down.
Within this project there was a few things i was going for, the club had to be big enough to fit a lot of people around 25 people not including staff, so around 30- 35 total. On top of this it also had to look nice, have area for dancers, a dance floor, DJ set, and possibility have automated dancers. This meaning there would be a button that the DJ can press to bring out animated characters to dance with the music.
As for the club its self everything went to plan i even added a few quality of live things, examples being that the music will in each section will fade out before you teleport to the next area and then that areas music will fade in. this was done through scripts and basic API calls, like set volume and get volume.
As for the reasons why i stopped work on Club Duck:
there was too much of a challenge getting the performance to the right area's as when the color changing lighting script started it would work for the first player but as soon as another joined it would just stop working, I had tried many different ways of getting it to work but nothing came out with the results I wanted. Another reason was that where was a lot too finish and the time it would take away from working on commissions would be too much. and the third and final reason was that there was a lot of issues going on with the versions of sdk I was using at the time and it wasn't planned to get fixed for foreseeable feature.
there for i made the call to stop work on club duck and put it aside until i could figure out a way to fix the issues with the project. unfortunately i haven't found a fix as of this time, but when i do this page will be updated on what is going on and how i am planning to fix the project.
